What to eat
First thing’s first: no one watches the Super Bowl on an empty stomach. Especially if you’re tuning-in from the UK where kick-off isn’t until 11.30pm. You'll want to put together an all-American menu – think burgers, hot dogs and chicken wings. And plenty of them. But for a truly authentic Super Bowl scoff, you’re going to need guacamole. What to expect from the halftime show
Previous halftime show performances have included the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Prince and Madonna. Last year saw Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar take to the stage. Rihanna has been confirmed as this year’s headliner. And with Jay-Z organising the performance, viewers are in for a treat.
What to wear for the main event
If you’re an avid fan and your team makes the final, you’ll probably wear team merch. If your team isn’t playing, you could back one of the finalists and plan your outfit around their colours. Or, if you’re less of a fan and are keen to see what all the fuss is about, then wear whatever takes your fancy.
