Flags at the ready! We’re gearing up to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and it’s going to be a long bank holiday weekend to remember.

With street parties and celebrations happening up and down the country, this historic occasion will be chock full of pageantry and pomp. After all, it’s what we do best!

Dates for your diary

The Coronation itself of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place on the morning of Saturday 6th May at Westminster Abbey.

Why not join millions celebrating our new monarch with a Coronation Big Lunch? With events taking place throughout the weekend, check out the website to see the big lunches happening near you or to get more information on planning your own.

The party continues on Sunday 7th May with the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle. Global music icons and contemporary stars will come together alongside The Coronation Choir, a diverse group of amateur singers made up from refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and many more.

And if all that wasn’t enough, make sure you save some energy for The Big Help Out on Monday 8th May. The initiative gives people the chance to come together to make a positive difference in their communities through volunteering. There are opportunities in everything from animal welfare and helping older people to sports, arts, culture and the environment. Individuals, organisations, and businesses can all get involved. Make sure you play your part!

What to wear?

The Coronation celebrations are sure to take over TV, radio and socials over the weekend, so wherever you’re planning to spend it, you’ll want to look your royal best.
